They don't but you can use grub hub, Uber eats or lyft eats, door dash.
No...u don't need reservations
Ask for the name and talk to the owner or manager so he knows. Now it must be understood that sometimes work yields and people get tired. On the other hand people want good service because they are paying for it.
The food is delicious...Gloria is my favorite waitress.....breakfast burritos are very good....got to check out their banquet room....nice
Consistently good food at a reasonable price. Plus they have good tacos ha ha.
Absolutely delicious food served socially distanced on the outdoor patio. The camaron tostada and enchiladss were awesome!
Staff was very friendly and the food was reasonably priced and very good.
Always have interesting service experiences here. It should be much simpler to eat here. It is inexpensive and tasty Mexican food.
Well the food was no so bad, the problem is because the cooks not work under pressure we were less costumer and I wait around of 50 minutes by my food and the final the waitresses not have experience in costumer service she never asked me how to like the meat medium well, raw, cooked 🤔
Been going here for more than 10 years. Food is perfectly alright and reliable. Wait staff is ALWAYS extremely slow though.
Attentive quick service. Thoroughly clean detailed for covid-19 requirements. Food and margaritas were excellent.
Good place to relax, socialize and have a margarita. The food is delicious!
The food here is delicious!! They have a Sunday brunch from 10-3 with a mix of US and Mexican breakfast and brunch dishes.
Good food, somewhat decent prices (gone up recently). I like that the portions haven't gotten smaller.
You gotta get the Pollo Asada Dinner plate. Outstanding!
The food was mediocre at best and the service was the worst I've ever experienced.
Pros: This is my favorite place for brunch on the weekends. We always opt for self seating in the bar area. The food and service is really great with a lively atmosphere. Staff is friendly without being intrusive. Have been here dozens of times. I LOVE it on the weekends.Cons: I have been there for dinner twice and service was really bad. Not sure if it’s due to understaffing, but server never came around and had to be chased down fir the check. TLDR: great food and service for weekend brunch. Not recommended for dinner.
Delicious.. but pricy.
Highly recommend.
This was my third time eating at this restaurant. To be honest the previous 2 occasions weren't so great. It was busy and serviced seemed slow. This time we came at 2pm on a Tuesday and the place was fairly empty. I ordered the Tuesday rib special in red sauce for $9.95. I was fairly sure the serving would be small, but it was surprisingly large for a lunch dish. It came with rice, beans and flour tortillas. The braised ribs were spicy, delicious and easily fell off the bone. Plus the service was extremely fast given few patrons.
Excellent Food! Very Pleasant n Service was Excellent❤❤❤👍👍👍
Was here on a business trip and Otaez was across the street from my hotel. The Burrito Famosa was ginormous! And very tasty. Oh, and the beer was super cold!
Service is good to great depending on whom is serving you. The food is good although the prices have gone up recently to my disappointed. I regular the place about every other month because it's local and convenient. Spacious, clean and they feature a TV at the bar with sports on.
Food is yummy, atmosphere is nice but still casual. You could go here with friends or after a day out.
Always delicious! Homemade tortillas, chips and salsa YUM! My favourite Chile verde ever!
Good food and drinks Very good customer service
Good food, excellent costumer service, best mojitos in Alameda.
This place is the bestest for Mexican food. Reminds me of my mother's cooking. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and speedy. Great food, great service, and ambience.
I ordered the Chile Rellenos plate. The food and service were so much better this time.
The food is ok but the drinks are great! The bartenders are amazingly friendly and open to trying new mixes. Have been here twice and both times the food was ok, if you're just looking for cheap mexican food I would recommend Calafia down the street but this place is THE place to go for drinks on this side of the island.
Great Mexican food.
Great Hispanic food great environment great service close to our home Love it quite well
Want a good margarita?
The value for the money can't be beat! I find the flavor and quality of the dishes and drinks are also much better than La Penca Azul, which seems to be the Alameda favorite as it's always crowded. Save yourself the hassle and expense and go to Otaez instead!
Pretty good meals. Had the enchiladas and wet burrito. Both tasty. Dined in and service was fine. Meal came with chips and salsa. Diet Coke was a lil flat. I also had a Mexican hot chocolate which was good, I was hoping for it to be a bit more spicy. Overall good food.
Update 5/11: it's been a couple of times now that the stuff has started ignoring me, getting the orders wrong, and overall bringing down the otherwise nice experience that I used to have here. Read below to see the original 5-star reviewEvery time I came here I was left pleasantly surprised. The staff, service, food and ambiance are amazing. It includes a very nice bar area and a huge restaurant area. Complimentary chips and salsa, generous sized meals. All the bells and whistles.
Great food and good prices. Food is served fast and it is tasty. Also it can fit a large party.
I've eaten here many times. I really enjoy the food and this time around a new waitress helped us and she was terrific. She was very attentive and delightful. The environment here is comfortable and conducive to company parties.
Standby Mexican in Alameda. Atmosphere is nice and service is good. Chili Verde was pretty good.
Amazing food, friendly staff, really reasonable prices. The quintessential Alameda experience for family dining.
Great authentic mexican food. Super wait staff. We take out quite often as well.
Good Mexican Food Some Of Alcohol Drinks Was Water Down
Tried this place before with my friend and I am obsessed since then. I loved the good ambience and delicious food and beverages. Great work.
Great menudo. Friendly service. Ball game on the tv. Spicy salsa. Incredible tequila selection
Lack of service, stood at the door waiting for the waitress to seat us when I finally asked if we seat ourselves. 5 minutes after sitting someone comes over to take our drink order. Drinks come and says she'll be right back. Meanwhile a older couple walks in, sits down and within 3 minutes, their order is taken and food brought out to them shortly after. Still waiting for the waitress, I walked over to the register to pay for the coffee. Nonchalantly she says it's ok, not even a sorry for forgetting/ignoring you. Not going back.
The food is always great, except their rice isnt much like traditional mexican style and tends to be salty. Check out their steak fries appetizer to share - I get it for an entree sometimes too! The beans are really good and they make tortillas on site! They can have difficulty in timing the serving of a full table appropriately, meaning at least one dish will take several minutes to arrive or the sizzle starts to fade on your fajitas waiting for their yummy tortillas. Food quality makes up for it most of the time. If waiting isn't for you, try them Sundays for a buffet brunch that's has plenty of choices to satisfy anyone in your group. Staff is always polite and the bathrooms clean.
Too noise, workers act like they our customers instead of workers. They gather around talking and talking loud! Is becoming a bar atmosphere instead of a restaurant for family to enjoy a good Mexican food. The menu is very deceiving, Usually don't get what they say on the menu. Otaez Does make the best goat stew and pork stew. & reasonable price. The salsa is really good. But beware some of their sauces is extremely hot.
Tender white fish fillet with fresh chopped garlic. Black beans , rice and salad. Perfectly delicious dinner.
Really good old school Mexican comfort food. Fills the void left when Mexicali Rose closed and it's a great value
Delicious Brunch!
Great place. Food is consistent. Staff are pleasant and helpful
Food is good and it is served on hot plates which keeps your food warmer for longer periods of time! One thing I LOVE about Otaez is their spicy salsa--cannot have Mexican food with so-so salsa-- and it's plentiful. Staff polite, family-friendly place to eat, patrons affable. Oh, did I say the food is delicious?? Check them out.
The food is very good, especially for the brunch buffet.
The policy of #Otaez is "it's not our problem... it's the parents responsibility... we don't want to offend our customer". When inquiring about the infant and child with adults who clearly had 2 each margaritas. It's been about two years since i last ate here and stopped coming after watching two female customers with 2 or 3 children drink 3 pitchers of margaritas. Seems like #otaez is very concerned about not offending their customers rather than the safety of children who have no choice to get into a car with adults who are under the influence. The food is good but serving alcohol to adults with minor children in tow is reprehensible.
